our philosophy Urbanknit is a design collective established by Dolapo James with the aim of providing fresh and interesting handmade fashion accessories that are unique and offer the wearer a sense of individuality. Our aim is to make pieces that are unique, interesting and unusual. We love bold prints, bright colours and interesting textures. our products Our clutches, totes, and zipper pouches come in bright African prints and batiks. We have a lovely collection of Aso-Òkè, Ànkárá andÀdìre fabrics from Nigeria and West Africa some of which are themselves handmade. We combine these traditionally African fabrics with modern fabrics like denim, corduroy, silk and cotton to make accessories that are durable yet interesting. In the colder winter months our handknitted scarves, cowls and scarflettes in our signature chunky knit style will keep you warm and cosy. These come in natural yarns such as merino wool, cashmere and alpaca for the extra luxurious feel against the skin and for added comfort.
