Today’s cool tee is one of a wide range from Fashizblack which features the Made in …. phrase and insert an African city, to complete. Being Nigerian, I have gone with the Made In Lagos version. Also because a lot of our products are made in Lagos so it seemed so very apt.
There are other versions like Abidjan, Accra, Bamako and many more. Each time, the city name is highlighted in a fabric local to that country. Very clever, very cool.

Pharrell Williams can do no wrong in my eyes, haha. Check out his latest collaboration with Uniqlo which features a set of very cool tees that encourage you to be the unique person you were designed to be. The Same is Lame is a tagline that resonates with many I am sure. Check out the I Am Other manifesto below. I Am DEFINITELY Other!
i am OTHER
By Pharrell Williams
I serve and represent the OTHERS because I am one myself.
OTHERS defy expectations and stereotypes. We are curious, ambitious, energetic and have every intention of squeezing the most out of life. Above all, we are individuals.
OTHERS don’t fit into categories. We are not jocks. Or skaters. Or musicians. Or students. Or technologists. Or audiophiles. We want to be all of the above and then some.
OTHERS are a diverse group of optimistic, bright minds connected by technology and a desire to make our mark, who together can advance culture and even humanity.
OTHERS are not defined by demographics or geography. We have shared ideals, dreams and a vision for a new reality.
OTHERS believe individuality is the new wealth. Experiences are the new assets to acquire. Whoever is the most individual wins.
i am OTHER celebrates people who push society forward. The thinkers. The innovators. The outcasts. History has proven that it’s the rule breakers who have the power to change the world.
Today we have the Ankara Samurai tee from Literati Clothing (who are friends of the family so to speak). I like this one because you can be sure people will do a double-take once they catch a glimpse of it the first time. Striking!
Check out more of the work which is not limited to tees.
Here is to all the people in the UK that have been battered by the winds and storms. Praying it gets better very soon.
Yes, I am that geeky that a pixelated image puts a smile on my face because I remember Super Mario Bros, Gum Shoe and the like. This was before everything became HD and required a degree to understand. Of course there are the classics like Pacman and Tetris which you just can’t beat!
Clockwork Gear’s cool tee pays homage to just that. The Videogame t-shirt is just perfect!

Finally a cool tee of our own! Whoop whoop. This one is called the Black Stars (which coincidentally is the name of the Ghanaian Football team. What a happy coincidence!)
Using beautiful Adinkra symbols from Ghanaian heritage, this tee is simple and easy to wear. Available in Hot Pink and White. Check it out right here. www.urbanknit.com/shop/black-star-adinkra-t-shirt/
Would love to hear what you think!
Our Cool Tee this week is from Agape Attire.
This one is called Onwards and Upwards. Simple imagery, beautiful message. I am now a new fan and will certainly come back for more.

From a collection titled ‘Secret Life of Heroes‘ you are bound to be expecting something interesting and thats what you get.
Greg Guillemin’s collection is quite bold and lets just say that Spiderman brushing his teeth is one of the milder ones.
Nevertheless, I absolutely love the humour and you know what, they actually make you think thoughts like ‘does Batman like grapes’. Maybe that’s just me! They also have a touch of Lichtenstein about them which is always a winner in my world.
