The Bee bag is so called because its great for buzzing around and you make it what you want it to be. For shopping, going to the park, books and magazines anything really. A green tote in many ways!

The straps make it a comfortable shoulder tote. The fabric I have used is a traditional batik fabric from Nigeria known as ‘Adire’ and the inside is lined with bright orange cotton fabric.

I love this particular bag because of the fabric and the tradtional techniques used to create it. It is all done by hand by women of the Yoruba tribe in Southern Nigeria. The fabric is folded and sewn before it is dyed and after it is dyed, the thread is removed. If you look at the close up shot, you can see small traces of where the fabric was sewn before this process. It tells a story of how it was made!

Love the bag! Perfect size and weight for a summer purse/tote. I do wish there was at least one interior pocket, but I carry less in the summer so it hasn’t been too much of a problem to just throw everything in loose (I did order a small pouch for makeup stuff which helps). Fabric is gorgeous and holds up well while still being lightweight. I did wash and dry (cold/low heat) before wearing for the first time.
